Ashley Tinius

This month's team member is both a Swiftie and swift (seriously though, you should see her run). She is a former news reporter that will be coming to you live with our newest format class, Body Ignite, very soon. Ash is passionate, friendly, and fun, not to mention an amazing teammate and great friend. Read below to learn more about her!

Tell us about your family: My husband Chris is the Associate Athletic Director for St. X. We love going to concerts together and just celebrated our sixth anniversary. Our son Wesley turns 6 in August and loves to play guitar and draw ocean animals. Fritz turns 4 in June. He loves to make us laugh, always finds a way to play football and he has a tendency for head injuries.

Current/Previous career: Current: Director of Communications for the PVA. Previous: television news reporter

What is your favorite thing to do? Workout or bake cakes, it's all about balance!

What is something about you that someone may not know? I'm terrible at math.

What is your favorite local restaurant to eat at? What is your go to order? Mussel & Burger Bar- Vegetarian beet burger, yum!

What is the best thing about living in Louisville? Besides F4M, I have to say Derby! It's so cool that Louisville is known worldwide for this. There's something for everyone and it's fun seeing my kids cheer for the races!

What is your favorite color? Red

What is your favorite song or artist? Taylor Swift (Swiftie for life)

What TV shows are you currently watching? Ted Lasso and Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us: I played golf my senior year of high school because they weren't allowed to cut anyone. I was the worst player in school history!

June questions:

  • Tastiest summer treat? Watermelon! I could eat it all day.

  • Pool or beach? Why? This one is hard. If I'm alone then it's the beach. If my kids are with me then it's the pool. I can never relax when we are at the beach together because I'm always playing in the sand with them.

  • What was your favorite summer memory from childhood? My parents had a block party for the 4th of July and there were wonderful fireworks at the end of the night.

  • What are you looking forward to doing this summer? Relaxing by the pool!

F4M LOUISVILLE MEMBER COMMENTARY - FROM ELISE CHRISTENSEN

I haven’t know Ashley for long, but I am so glad she is a Fit4Mom Louisville instructor. I was newer to PM strides and a bit nervous to not know anyone, but Ashley's nature is so inclusive and welcoming! It made it easy for Thursday night strides to be something me and my kids look forward to every week. Her classes are a fantastic balance of difficulty and fun! It’s always a great workout and her energy is contagious! I look forward in getting to know Ashley better and to take more of her classes.

F4M LOUISVILLE TEAM MEMBER COMMENTARY - FROM MEGAN SMITH

Fit4Mom Louisville is what brought Ashley and I together, and it has been a beautiful friendship ever since. She’s been a fantastic role model for me as both a mother and an instructor. She is always available with a supportive hug and cheers on not only me, but the entire F4MLou Village. Anyone who meets Ashley immediately sees her pure heart and love for everything she does. I’m lucky to have gotten to know her as both a friend and teammate. Fit4Mom Louisville is lucky to have someone so strong and caring on this team!
