Blair Crush

This month's member is a real trip...planner that is. And if you asked her what the happiest place on Earth is, she'd probably answer Disney World AND Fit4Mom Louisville classes. When you need a new travel destination or somebody to drive a tractor, she's your girl. We love what she said about our Village the best though - so read below to learn more about Blair Crush!

Hometown: Owenton, Kentucky

How long have you lived in Louisville? 21 years (OMG!)

Tell us about your family: My husband Michael is from Crestwood and we met in college at UofL. We have two girls, Siena(10) and Mila (8) and a 15 year old orange tabby, Gatsby. :)

Current/Previous career: Vacation Planner

What did you want to be “when you grow up”? An attorney or work in golf (Which I did for a while!)

What is the furthest you have been away from home? Italy!

What is your favorite thing to do? Travel! Try new things with my kids. They push me to be more adventurous!

What is something about you that someone may not know? I grew up on a farm! I used to drive tractors, set and harvest tobacco. Besides swimming and playing with cousins, my summer were primarily filled with working on the farm. My parents still raise hay and cattle for beef production.

What is your favorite local restaurant to eat at? What is your go to order? We don’t eat out much while we are at home. Partially thanks to the Body Well program! But when we travel to our other home in Orlando we love Citricos in the Grand Floridian. At home, if we are eating out, it’s usually something on the go! Date nights are often Riverhouse.

What is the best thing about living in Louisville? It’s a small/big city that is nestled in the prime of the midwest. So much cool history in this area.

What is your favorite color? BLUE!

What is your favorite song or artist? We listen to an embarrassing amount of Disney Theme Park music in our home. But, I am really eclectic when it comes to music and will listen to about anything from Rap (loved seeing Lil’ Jon and Ludacris in the Super Bowl show!!) to classical depending on my mood.

What TV shows are you currently watching? Only Murders in the Building, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us or what is your pet peeve?

If someone had to describe you in one word, what would it be and why? Loyal. I am very loyal and reliable friend.

How did you find FIT4MOM Louisville? A friend of mine that I used to do volunteer work from my days with Junior League of Louisville was already a member of Fit4Mom (Lauren Langley). She encouraged me to try it out during our at home all the time days of COVID. The rest is history!

How has FIT4MOM Louisville changed your life? Not being from Louisville can be difficult making new adult friends, especially as you get older and have kids that occupy all your “free time.” Fit4Mom gave me the consistency, flexibility and access I needed to a wonderful community of strong Bad Ass women and revamped my relationships with food and fitness. The bonus I never anticipated was all the new friendships I have made. I am blown away with the women in this village and their community and kindness towards one another.

What was the first class that you attended? What was the last class that you attended? My first classes were at HOB with Susan, which turned into Bodywell with Lauren and Amanda Atherton in 2020. I am pretty much virtual all the time so my last class is probably whatever the most recently live morning class happens to be! Haha I do get out more when the home and work schedules are lighter but that’s what is so great about the village, flexibility!

What is your favorite workout move or class layout? What workout move or class layout makes you feel strong? I love the pace of 360! But each class has their own vibe and when you have the opportunity to mix and match, it makes me love them each in their own way. I have been a long time runner so 360 suits me as a runner.

March questions:

  • If you had to decorate a Mardi Gras float, what would be your theme? It would most likely involve the Fab 5! (Aka Disney characters, of course)

  • Favorite good luck charm? I always carry a Guardian Angel with me in my car since I started “”legally” driving at 16.

  • Easter cake or green beer? Cake…

  • March 19th is the first day of Spring - what is your favorite season and why? Summer, Give me all the warmth and sunshine. Swimming pools and celebrating the 4th of July has alway been a special celebration in my family.
