Amy Townley

Our Village scored a touchdown when this month's MOTM joined in on the fun 4 years ago - it's no wonder she's a huge football fan! She loves cooking and reading, just like her favorite Halloween costume, Belle from Beauty and the Beast. And while she enjoys a sit up now, it wasn't always that way. See below for more on the amazing Amy Townley!

What is the best thing about living in Louisville? We love Louisville because we always joke it's a big, small town. I love that you always meet someone who knows someone else, but we have all the amenities of a big city. There's lots of things to do and wonderful places to eat.

How did you find FIT4MOM Louisville? Through my bff Kelly Toms, she had attended for a while and convinced me to do a Body Well session after my daughter was born, I've been hooked ever since.

How has FIT4MOM Louisville changed your life? Honestly, before Fit4MOM I didn't really consistently workout, I truly hated it, I can't lie that I actually enjoy it now, but I know that it's an important part of staying healthy as an adult.

What was the first class that you attended? What was the last class that you attended? Boost - the last class I attended was Cardio Express this morning! I started with Fit4Mom right before the pandemic and the ease of the virtual classes has allowed me to stay with my habits and workout every morning in the comfort of my own home which I love. I do miss in person classes, but I love the flexibility of virtual.

What is your favorite workout move or class layout? What workout move or class layout makes you feel strong? I really enjoy the tabata format. I love sit ups - when I first started with Fit4Mom I could not do one sit-up, everytime I do them in class now I think about how far I've come.

October questions:

  • Pumpkins - carve or paint? Visit the patch or pick up at the grocery store? We love to carve pumpkins - my dad always carved them with me growing up and it's definitely a tradition we've kept with our kids. We will visit the pumpkin patch, but I'll buy pumpkins from the store as well.

  • What’s your favorite Halloween candy? Candy Corn!
