Meet Tiffany, our Mom of the Month! Tiffany is partner to Adam and mom to Jordyn (14) and Waylon (8). When Tiffany isn't being a rockstar wife and mom she is a full time dental assistant. She has been part of F4MLOU since 2017 and has participated in multiple rounds of Body Well, Body Well Minis, Run Club and Well Between.
If you know Tiffany you've likely noticed her gracious, warm and delightful personality. You may also have witnessed that she's an absolute boss at class! When Tiffany puts her mind to something there's no turning back. No matter what. Her drive to continuously set new goals and complete them is something we admire.
Tiffany, thank you for being part of our village. We are so lucky that you're not only part of it but that we can call you a friend, too. We love you, mama!
Hometown. I grew up in Stanton, KY. (Red River Gorge Area) We moved to Louisville 11 years ago and now call this our home.
Tell us about your family. I’ve been married to my husband, Adam, for 12 years. We have two kids, Jordyn (14) and Waylon (8). We also have two dogs. Ellie, a goldendoodle and Zoey, a German shepherd.
Current/Previous career. I work full time at East End Endodontics as a dental assistant and help with office duties at the front desk. I love working in the dental field!
How did you find FIT4MOM? In 2016 I met Cassie in Las Vegas. Our husbands worked together, and we tagged along because, why not, it’s Vegas. She asked me to go work out with her at 5am while we were there, and I thought she was crazy. I didn’t join while we were on our trip, but the seed was planted, and I jumped in with my first round of Body Back (Body Well) not long after.
How has FIT4MOM changed your life? Where do I even begin with this question? Fit4Mom is EVERYTHING! I feel equipped to make better nutrition decisions because of the knowledge I have gained through Body Well and Well Between. I am stronger and able to accomplish fitness goals that I never could have imagined before. I’m not only physically stronger but mentally stronger. This community has helped shape who I have become over the last six years. I am more confident in who I am and truly believe that I can accomplish anything when I put my mind to it.
What does motherhood mean to you? To be honest, being a parent of a teen is hard and my 8-year-old son is wild. I don’t think any manual or self-help book can prepare you for motherhood. With that being said, I feel like I’m doing alright. This roller coaster is mine and I wouldn’t change it for the world, the ups and downs are worth it. I love getting to watch my two kids grow into who they’re meant to be. Being a mom means screwing up over and over, but at the same time you never give up. You wake up each day and try harder.
Favorite exercise? Favorite strength exercise are squats or any type of lower body exercise.
Favorite Cardio is running or cycling.
Favorite virtual class. I am just so happy that Fit4Mom Louisville offers so many virtual options. I can’t pick a favorite, but I will say that rolling out of bed 10 mins before class starts is a major perk of any 5:30am virtual class!
Proudest moment? In 2019, I heard my name announced as I crossed the finish line at Ironman 70.3 in Chattanooga. I trained for a year for that race and accomplished a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike, and 13.1 mile, all back-to-back-to-back.
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us. I was a customer service agent for Continental Airlines in Lexington, KY. I was crossed trained, so I got to work directly with passengers at the front desk and gate. I also got to work outside bringing in the plane (person with orange sticks and drives the tugs around), handling baggage, pushing planes back from the gate, and even de-icing in the winter. I learned so much in that industry and it will forever be one of my favorite jobs.
What is the furthest you have been away from home? We have been on a couple Disney Caribbean Cruises. St. Martin, St. Thomas, and the Cayman Islands.
