Meet Kelli, our April Mom of the month! Kelli is wifey to Jeremy and mama to Emerson (3) and Silas (1.5). Kelli is one of our Body Back success stories and a dedicated BOOST member. She attended 26 BOOST classes in February! She was in class EVERY DAY that we offered one! WOW!! Kelli always has something funny to say and is always happy and motivating during class. She makes balancing work, kids and maintaining an active healthy lifestyle look like a cake walk. And she does it all with the cleanest car in town. #momgoals
Kelli, we are SO lucky to have you as a part of Our Village!
Hometown: Louisville, KY
Family Members: My husband Jeremy, 3 year old daughter Emerson and 1 ½ year old son Silas.
Favorite exercise: That’s hard, but I would say my favorite exercise is probably various forms of a plank. It’s simple, can be done everywhere and has lots of benefits. I also do love to turn up my music and go for a run to just mentally check out and take in the outdoors when it’s great weather.
Current/Previous career: When I was a senior in High School I started working for the Independent Pilots Association, which is the union that represents UPS pilots. I am currently still there. This year marks my 20 year anniversary!
Childhood Ambition: I’ve always been fascinated with detective work and criminal forensics. Maybe it’s just the glamor of all the cop/detective shows that makes it all seem so fun?!
Proudest moment: No doubt, my proudest moment was when both my babies were born. What could even compete with actually creating two humans!?
What is the farthest you have been away from home?: Ok, I am geographically challenged so I had to look up which is further; Ontario Canada or Jamaica…. Hahaha! I would say Jamaica is the furthest that I’ve been away from home. I went to Ocho Rios Jamaica about 10 years ago and it was absolutely beautiful with the clearest, bluest ocean water and best Rum Punch I’ve ever had!
What does motherhood mean to you?: I would say that motherhood means loving another human being (or two) with every ounce of you and then some more. Motherhood for sure tests your patience to the max and means no longer being on time for anything if your kids are in tow! I wouldn’t change it for the world.
How did you find FIT4MOM?: My wonderful sister-in-law, Amanda Atherton, introduced me to Fit4Mom and I can’t thank her enough. There has been no looking back once I actually got up the nerve to come to a class!
How has FIT4MOM changed your life?: FIT4MOM has changed almost every aspect of my life in one way or another. I am the strongest and healthiest that I have ever been. I meal prep weekly, eat home cooked meals more and exercise almost daily. I know it sounds corny, but I really feel like I have finally found myself again. This Village of mamas is honestly the best support system. I have met amazing friends, which really helps you to stay motivated to be your best self. Before Fit4Mom, I used to despise the thought of group workouts because I was way to insecure about how dumb I would look trying to exercise in front of others. Now, I am totally addicted to working out and how great you feel after incorporating Boost into your daily routine. I hate missing a workout! F4M is truly the best!
